John, an artist and designer, is inspired by the collective art and cultures of the many countries where he has lived and worked. LLJM Defigns is known for their innovative work and their skillful use of milled and unmilled woods. All woods are selectively harvested and all pieces of furniture are made by hand in US using the traditional methods of mortise and tenon joinery. While Lorna Lee John Muller Designs specializes in custom designs for residential and commercial projects, they also offer their standard line of handmade furniture.
For custom designs, the process is a collaboration between John, Lorna and the client. The concept of the project will be discussed and John will draw up preliminary sketches. Upon approval of these conceptual drawings, wood and finishes will be selected. Piece or pieces will then go into production in our studio. Lorna will be available to you at all times during this process until installation takes place.
